As a consultant with Meta, I brainstormed, designed, and implemented user interactions and interfaces for the upcoming "Meta 2" augmented reality headset. Using feedback from...more user testing, stakeholders, and executives, I worked closely with the UX team to ensure that prototypes meet Meta's neuroscience-based standards for reducing learning curves and improving user experience.

Crafted exclusively for virtual reality, EXA's… · More vision is to bring the feeling and expressiveness of playing real-world musical instruments into an incredibly versatile virtual space -- offering an entirely new dimension of musical creativity and performance.
EXA has been a solo project from the start. My role has involved everything from the brainstorm phase through design, development, user testing, and publishing.
The user interfaces in EXA are powered by Hover UI Kit, an earlier project of mine (http://HoverVR.com).

Explores immersive, interactive data visualization along with VR user interface concepts.
This was a solo project. The user interfaces in the app are powered by Hover UI Kit, an earlier project of mine (http://HoverVR.com).

All interface interactions utilize a simple and consistent mechanism -- the "hover" -- which users can perform with any 3D input device. These interfaces are designed specifically for VR/AR applications, addressing the complex UX challenges of these immersive environments.

What I Do
Software development is my medium for expressing ideas and being creative. I consider myself a craftsman, using skill and nuance to create software that is engaging, dynamic, understandable, and pleasant.
Since 2007, I have provided software development and design services via my company, Aesthetic Interactive. My services span the entire project lifecycle, from brainstorming and design to prototyping and implementation. As an independent developer and consultant, I have worked on dozens of interesting projects, across many platforms and technologies, for both my clients and for my own company.
Starting in 2014, I have focused on VR/AR experiences and the 3D input devices that enhance them. With tools like Hover UI Kit, applications like 'EXA: The Infinite Instrument', and clients like Meta and Leap Motion, my more recent work explores the uncharted world of interfaces, interactions, and experiences (UI/UX) in VR/AR environments. I am particularly interested in building tools and applications for productivity, creativity, education, and data visualization.
I develop software products and provide consulting services via my one-man company, Aesthetic Interactive. I am interested in hearing about new consulting or co-founding opportunities, and also interested to connect with fellow VR/AR developers.
