Charity Engine grid is the world's cheapest, greenest computing platform with virtually unlimited numbers of PCs - and IP addresses - available to hire for any ethical purpose.

Online adverts grow the grid by up to 30k PCs per day - and that's not even at full blast, it's just what our servers can cope with. PCs are selectable by both location and hardware spec, and we always have at least 100k active. Charity Engine is literally the Internet as a platform.

Although each PC only contributes its surplus capacity, the resulting platform is immensely powerful and with many unfair advantages. It has no servers of its own, none of the overheads, so can be an order of magnitude cheaper to use than AWS. Each node also has its own IP address, a huge USP for data mining the web. CE can scan where even Google cannot.

Profits are shared between prize draws for the PC owners, CE itself and its hand-picked charity partners - hence the name, and why so many people participate.
