The Access Fund constructs a broad basket of the top venture deals on the AngelList platform as identified by the Fund’s investment team. The Fund targets to back about 1,000 opportunities each year, across rolling funds, venture funds, and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).
Picking individual startups is hard. AngelList research1 shows that the median return increases with the breadth of an investor’s venture portfolio: a small number of winning companies is responsible for generating the majority of returns in venture (power law); so the more investments, the higher the chances of hitting a winner.
Access Fund allows investors to build a broad portfolio with a single check.
The Fund has exclusive access to AngelList’s firehose of deals. In 2021, AngelList facilitated over 11,000 investments into startups led by over 800 active General Partners (GPs).GPs like working with Access Fund because it provides them a discrete, reliable and fast source of capital:
