What's the most useful business-related book you've ever read?
Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki - I have always viewed "self-help and inspirational" books as cash grabs marketed to the un-driven, and that's what I thought of this book at first too. Thanks to boredom, I read it and was pleasantly corrected.
What's your favorite non-business book?
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by PKD - This story touches on so much more than Bladerunner. Empathy, the connection all living beings tend to hold; the value of personhood; and what life might be once nuclear war and AI have matured.
What's the most creative thing you've ever done?
Flawed Machines - A novel I wrote inspired by Isaac Asimov stories and Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. I researched for world-building, to create new religions, cultures, and countries. I paid great attention to technological detail as well for AI.
What's your super power?
My patience to pay insanely great attention to detail. In my school days, I would often entertain myself with cryptography and sudoku puzzles.
Also, my ability to adapt and understand. I tend to find common ground with most others.
What words of wisdom do you live by?
I've saved many, many quotes over the years.
- Speak less, do more.
- We are all in the gutter but some of us are looking in the stars.
- Laugh, and the world laughs with you; weep, and you weep alone.
- Winning means being unafraid to lose.
What was the most impactful class you took in school?
Deductive Logic - It took me down a rabbit hole I could never have imagined and I couldn't be any more thankful.
