Tim has been an invaluable advisor to my company, LoyaltyLion, for over a year. As someone who has been both a successful entrepreneur and investor, Tim provides rare insight. He's also never short...more of ideas and loves to challenge the status quo!Charlie Casey
Tim is an investor supermensch, bringing everything you want to the table: cash, top drawer contacts, mentoring, strategic thinking, great ideas and enthusiasm. Highly organised and well connected, because...more of Tim I had 35 investor pitches in 1 month, and closed a round of funding in record time. He doesn't pull any punches when things are going wrong, and can't praise you enough when you've done good. I’m privileged to have Tim as my Chairman at Articheck.Annika Erikson
Tim has a precise nose for the essence of any concept or problem. His advice is most often socratic, he asks the right sequence of questions to lead you to the best strategy and you feel as if you thought...more of it yourself. He is decisive, bold, and overwhelmingly generous. His experience and success speaks for itself, but not nearly as loudly as his friendship. Oh, and he makes you walk. Michael Staton
Tim is well known on the startup scene and one of the most astute investors out there. As well as having an eye for spotting the 'next big thing' his interest and help doesn't stop at the point of investment. Whether it's ad hoc advice or running sales training workshops for his portfolio companies, Tim is always looking to do more and to help.
CEO of Apperio - Business and legal background private equity (Platina Partners) and legal (CMS Camerons McKenna). INSEAD MBA. Seedcamp winner.
Tim is one of a rare breed of investors who is also a superb mentor and advisor. And even when he doesn't invest he is incredibly generous with his time and advice. Tim is fantastic at distilling a problem down to it's basics, focussing on the data and facts available and then helping you make the right decision. He's also extremely well connected and is one of those people who takes the trouble to introduce you to others who can help. I can't recommend Tim enough!
CEO and Founder of Zzish. First Product Manager hired by Google outside USA and helped build and launch first version of Android. PhD in AI, Oxford, MBA, LBS.
Tim has been involved in our business from the very beginning, and we've been extremely lucky to benefit from his seemingly endless network of great people, whether that be investors, advisors or entrepreneurs.
When we were ready for our seed round, Tim introduced us to some of the most active angel investors in London, and his vote of confidence meant we closed our round quickly and smoothly.
Tim is now on our board, and I look forward to our board meetings as an opportunity to discuss not only day to day, but big strategic decisions, which Tim offers invaluable insights in to.
As you might be able to tell, I can't recommend Tim highly enough.
For any startup, working with investors should be about more than just an injection of capital. Since joining the team in March 2014, Tim has transformed our company by bringing on-board a wealth of expertise that's enabled us to dramatically improve our efforts across sales, marketing and product development. Unlike so many other investors, Tim takes a hands-on, active approach to help companies both solve problems and create opportunities.
Tim was one of our first investors and has been extremely helpful along the way. He acts as a sounding board and matchmaker extraordinaire (potential clients, VC's, hires). He always takes the time to really understand the issue at hand, so that he can offer intelligent and constructive feedback, which is invaluable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tim to anyone lucky enough to get him as a potential investor.
Tim is one of the most thoughtful and helpful angel investors I have come across in London. He always asks the insightful, incisive questions that get to the heart of the issue. Regardless of whether or not he is an investor, he is more than willing to help, providing thoughtful suggestions and helpful connections. Unlike so many others, he plays "the long game", maintaining an interesting and diverse network. A delight to work with, I always feel I have learned something profound from our conversations.

Tim is an incredibly astute and insightful businessman. I don't think I've met anyone with his ability to both distill a problem to its core and unearth its potential solutions. Tim is an investor who brings a lot more than just capital.

Extremely astute, comfortable with the toughest business challenges and quick to get to the nub of any issue, Tim is very experienced, well connected and always willing to learn and contribute yet more. I always feel smarter and more energised after each conversation with TIm - frequently the conversations are challenging but it's a pleasure to spend time with him because at the core is his desire to help and improve things. Any startup that has Tim onside has a definite edge.

Tim is an important node in the London startup network. He's always generous with his time, advice, and introductions. He's super-incisive: discussing your company's situation with him invariably brings to light things you'd never considered. If you get a chance to pitch your startup to him, jump at it -- even if he doesn't invest, his ideas and feedback will be invaluable.

Tim is highly connected, highly respected, and I have always found his perspective to be uniquely valuable. He is generous with his time, and invests much more than just money into the founders and companies fortunate enough to work with him.
Tim has an uncanny ability to see to the heart of business plan and provide extremely astute advice. He is extremely well versed technically and so is able to comprehend the finer details as well as the seeing bigger picture. I also always find attending his networking events extremely enlightening. Any business would be very lucky to have him on board.
I'm very happy that Tim is part of London's startup scene and that I'm fortunate enough to know him in person. First time we met he offered me a really interesting and detailed perspective on my business, inviting me to consider things I haven't thought of before, which was really helpful. He's a rational, curious, experienced, honest, well-connected and respected entrepreneur and investor that can bring so much more than money to the table. If you have a chance to work with Tim, take it.

Tim immediately grasped our startup’s business and dynamics which very quickly allowed us to deep dive into a sophisticated strategic business discussion with an experienced entrepreneur/investor rather than spending a lot of time pitching the basics. Meetings with him were very efficient, pleasant and value-adding and we listened very carefully to his fundraising advice. He’s very well networked and gave us helpful connections. Also, he is one of the few investors who views your startup as a real business creating value created by real people, and not just as a KPI excel sheet.
The Ideal investor is honest, shares your values, vision of the future and is more interested in helping you than just giving you his money. Out of the many investors I have pitched to, the experience I remember the most is with Tim Jackson. We met infront of the historic Queen Victoria statue (Kensington Palace) walked for an hour talking through values, Ideas, passion, history, ambition, creating capturing and delivering value. I was blown away and wanted him on the journey. I highly recommend Tim Jackson.

When I first met Tim I was totally struck by his enthusiasm, curiosity and straight talking. In the many years since I've had the pleasure of experiencing so many other qualities, skills and aspects to Tim that make him both a cherished friend and brilliant person to work with in any capacity. The thing about Tim is that he's cares and that combined with his brilliant mind and charismatic personality make him very special. He's always been so ready to help, get involved and make introductions to great people. He's challenged my thinking and ideas in a positive way and opened me up to new ways of seeing things, and that's translated into me making better decisions. He's great fun to work with and has lots of great ideas. He has a unique ability to hone in quickly on what really matters. He's a brilliant listener, curious and has always made an effort to understand mine and others perspectives. I love Tim's drive and energy and I'm lucky to know him and have worked with him.
Tim immediately impressed me by being one of the very few potential investors who had taken the time to really understand our business model before I met with him. That meant that our initial conversation was extremely productive and thought provoking - he was able to get to the key issues quickly and added value immediately. Subsequently he has been hugely helpful both in making specific introductions, and also in setting up extremely high quality networking events. As a relatively green entrepreneur Tim's been one of the most helpful angels I've come across in London.
Tim is awesome. I'd known him for many years and we'd coinvested in a number of companies and even been on the board of one together, so when I started Ometria I made a conscious effort to ensure we had him as an investor, and spent many months selling the vision and persuading him to join our angel round. There are few people able to analyse a strategic topic of discussion, dissect it, and come up with a valuable suggestion in quite the same way that Tim does. He is never afraid to challenge you, and will never let you get away with an argument that doesn't stand up. Exactly what you need in an investor.

Tim is an extremely smart and very clued up man. He reaches out pro-actively into the community and has a genuine affection for and interest in entrepreneurs. He's got a huge amount of startup experience himself and really marks himself out among UK investors as one who is genuinely engaged and directly involved in the entrepreneurs' scene itself.

Being on Tim’s friend-list is an entrepreneur’s dream. He is extremely well-connected, resourceful, and knowledgeable, but more importantly, he is genuinely interested in helping out wherever and whenever he can. I’ve lost count of the numerous intros/connections Tim has made for us over the year. Tim is constantly switched-on, always ready with feedback and constructive criticism. Sharing knowledge, bringing people together and solving problems are his passion. For instance, just a couple of weeks ago, Tim organised a spontaneous work-shop, bringing together 19 entrepreneurs with a common agenda and similar challenges, to share knowledge on a very specific topic. The learning outcome from the collective intelligence gathered in that room was invaluable, especially for a start-up of our size. Just to clarify, Tim does not have a vested interest in our company. He just likes to help :)
Tim is very quick to understand your business dynamics and see the bigger picture. He asks the right questions; never in such a way as to try to catch you out but from a place of genuine curiosity and sincere interest. As an incredibly successful entrepreneur and investor, Tim brings a uniquely insightful perspective to business conversations. And if you’re looking for an investor who is responsive, honest and eager to be helpful, Tim Jackson is your man.

Tim is a thoughtful, experienced, generous and connected investor who applies all of these qualities to helping entrepreneurs. Importantly he helps not only those founders and startups who are directly relevant to him as an investor. He helps entrepreneurs and startups in general, which wins him trust and respect in the startup community and further reinforces his excellent network and access to interesting opportunities.
I have worked with Tim and had Tim as a mentor and advisor for the past few years. I can honestly say that I've probably learnt more from Tim than anyone else. His ability to distill complex problems into their simple, component parts is incredible and his no-nonsense data driven approach is refreshing.
Tim is extremely helpful and goes above and beyond the call of duty of an investor. If you've got a issue or problem, he's probably encountered it before or knows someone who has who can help you - and of course, Tim's always willing to make an introduction, regardless of whether or not he's invested in your company.
If you get the chance to work with Tim or even grab a coffee with him, take it!
Tim has acted as a sounding board for my business ideas for a couple of years now. He gives clear advice, with all the benefits of his analytical intellect and years of experience, while respecting individuality and encouraging one to go ones own way.
I am a serial founder, and have recently been funding my own start ups. Now I would like to invest more widely.
I assisted Tim during a mentor session at Techstars. I was very impressed by the amount of feedback he was able to give each company in 20 min. Tim was able to dig into the their business models instantly and would bring up competitors landscape, former acquisitions and market trends right on the spot. I later got very positive responses from the start-ups who confirmed they were able to get very meaningful insights from the session. Overall, one of the most effective mentors I met at Techstars.

Tim has been of invaluable assistance! He’s incredibly smart and insightful in his analysis of a given situation; and is able to combine that ability with a very human level of empathy, understanding and sensitivity. I believe that Tim has these skills because he is an investor who has also been a successful entrepreneur; and who knows what it is like to take a risk to build and scale a company. Having investors who know first hand how tough it can be to start a company makes a huge difference as it provides a very practical source of knowledge and experience. Such investors are rare outside Silicon Valley and it differentiates Tim from many other investors in Europe. To my fellow entrepreneurs reading this, get in touch with Tim as he is someone you want with you in the startup trenches!

Tim invested in Network Locum and joined our Board in 2013. He has been an extremely positive force on our business and on both my co-founder and I as leaders. His obsession with testing every assumption has empowered us to try many things, led us to the right decisions and forced us to reflect on the wrong ones. Network Locum's revenue has grown 700% since he joined and we are very proud to be working with him.

Tim's is one of those rare voices that simply cuts through the noise.
Carefully considered and remarkably thoughtful, he offers his time and insights generously whilst delivering sage advice drawn from his years of experience as a successful entrepreneur of note, investor with a unique approach and mentor to many, including myself. Definitely one of the best minds I’ve come across in the space, and one of the safest pair of hands to have directing your money into tech investments. Work and invest with him if you get the opportunity.

Tim joined as an investor in the first group of angel investors and has been very helpful. The first week he made one of the most important introductions to date, a potential customer who has been instrumental in our early company strategy. Tim is sharp and will give you a good sparring and ask the right/difficult questions. Get him onboard early if you can.
We immediately understood each other. Every time we discuss business I am surprised by the sharpness of Tim's questions and speed at which he processes new information. Being able to get right to the core of the problem is the thing that I value in him the most.
