Technical founders who ship. Interesting market or trend or tech. Founders understand market deeply and why existing solutions, if any, aren't right. Critical: Understand distribution. Could be marketing & sales, could be other. But have a distribution strategy.
“Tikhon is one of the few Angels invested in WayUp, and we feel SO lucky to have him. I cannot say enough good things...
We only agreed to take his funding at the start because we heard from multiple sources (including YC partners) that he was peoples' "favorite investor they had"... So, we decided to work with him... and MAN are we happy! From the day we met, Tikhon has offered to help with everything we need: from technical recruiting to technical advice, from sales strategy to getting us customers, and the list goes on. He is incredibly accessible (I wish everyone was as accessible as him!), and always seems to make me and JJ (cofounder) feel special.
