The Arab mobile game market is underserved. Arabic is the fourth biggest language in the world, yet less than 1% of all content is available in Arabic. While games in English number around 400,000, there are only 850 Arabic games available on the App Store.
The region has one of the world's fastest adoption rates for mobile apps. There are 60M+… · More smartphone users in the Middle East and this number is expected to reach 100M by 2016. 60% of these users prefer consuming content in Arabic.

Studying together in university and partnered to do graduation project together. we received the highest grade that year and won first prize between all Jordanian universities. Did many freelance jobs together in uni, We worked in different companies but partnered to create a business plan for a first Arabic social network. we won first prize and project was sold to Maktoob and handled it for 2 years. Then created Wizards Productions launched 10 games. I handle products he handles technology
Why we're doing this
The Arabic Market is huge, Mobile penetration is really high, no one is addressing the Arabic content on mobile yet. We know there is high demand for Arabic and local content. Through the previous experience, user will not care if you add a local scene in the background. after lots of research and feedback, we are creating the type of games that are culturaly relevant, that users would be interested in playing and would actually require to be in their language. <4% of content available in Arabic

Tamatem has over 15M downloads (1.5M monthly active users and 240K daily active users) for its 40 games on iOS and Android. Tamatem focuses on publishing casual and mid-core social games. The genres we are interested in vary from puzzle games, strategy games, racing/drifting games and trivia games. Our most successful titles include: Death Road, Drift King, Tough Question, Delivery King, Tower Build & Moron Test (1,2,3&4). Apple has featured our games continuously in multiple Arab stores where they have been ranked top 10 & 100.
Saudi Arabia represents 70% of the company’s total downloads today, other dominant markets include UAE, Kuwait and Jordan.
Tamatem is a 500Startups company registered in Delaware and has offices in Mountain View, California and Amman, Jordan. We are a team of 20 game enthusiasts with extensive experience in game design, localization, distribution, monetization, marketing, multiple game engines and design tools.
