We are looking for a talented sales professional to join a senior position on our sales team. The position is a key new addition to the Sales team, responsible for full pipeline management: lead generation, demo scheduling, demo presentations, and closing deals.
SOC provides enterpise technology and services for colleges and universities to centralize and manage students through their real-world learning activities (internships, co-ops, volunteering, etc). This role will be building and executing sale funnel from prospecting to closing multi-year contracts. SOC is a fast-growing startup in the higher education space, with 200 university campus clients within 3 years of launching.
Responsibilities include:
-Working with the executive team to strategize both short and long-term goals
-Benchmarking progress on these goals
-Lead generation
-Conducting 15-30 minute discovery calls
-Conducting 30-60 minute virtual product demos
-Contract & service-package negotiation
-Creating and leading sales and business development initiatives

Compensation:
Salary + Commission + Equity (stock) + Bonus compensation based on experience and candidate.

What we're looking for:
-4+ years Higher Education SaaS/Enterprise Sales
-Sales professional with experience managing a pipeline and closing $50k-$250k contracts with colleges & universities
Multiple years of Higher Ed SaaS/Enterprise Sales experience is required. Additionally, we are seeking someone who is up to the task of playing a crucial role in the company. The most important thing we are looking for in this key role is the ability to successfully help formulate, execute, and iterate on a sales & marketing plan.
