The Director of eCommerce is responsible for managing all aspects of the eCommerce business including, business planning, content strategy and development, digital marketing campaigns (within acquisition cost targets), promotional campaigns and other online marketing, website design, web analytics and web technologies. They will interact with Corporate Marketing to develop specific initiatives to drive traffic to the website and optimize the online experience to deliver conversion rates and AOV that will support overall sales and margin plans. The Director will also work closely with Merchandising to on line and assortment planning as well as product placement on the website.
Serve as the business leader for soludos.com with responsibility for full P&L (including margins, marketing costs and other operating costs).
Serve as the primary point of contact within the eCommerce organization for cross functional partners acting as a project manager to evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement and test eCommerce initiatives.
Develop and execute strategic and tactical business plans with other members of the cross functional team supporting the eCommerce strategy.
Manage search and social campaigns (within acquisition cost targets) to deliver required traffic to the site. This needs to be done with a deep understanding of attribution by channel to ensure dollars are spent efficiently on prospecting and search. Leverage technology to measure results and adjust strategy as required.
Manage LTV of the customer base by segment and develop acquisition and retention strategies by customer segment.
Manage the user experience of the website including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel and promotional campaigns.
Develop and oversee the effective planning, QA and execution of content across the websites and online marketing campaigns to ensure efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of all web content publishing.
Work closely with Merchandising and Demand Planning on product recommendations including pricing as well as Open to Buy management.
Manage all aspects of web analytics related to eCommerce and develop recommendations to optimize spend and deliver against LTV targets.
Partner with key cross-functional teams to ensure all relevant organizational goals and implications are factored into eCommerce projects.
Work closely with the Customer Experience Team to make sure all touch points with the consumer are creating a Brand enhancing experience. This includes onsite navigation, checkout, transactional emails and the returns process.
Build and direct a cohesive team of internal and external personnel to effectively develop eCommerce solutions.
Generate and implement new sales and marketing initiatives to increase eCommerce sales and profitability. Test these initiatives appropriately and adjust as necessary.
Prepare annual budgets and reforecasts for the eCommerce channel and work closely with finance to update as information becomes available.
Proven leadership of successful eCommerce projects.
Extensive knowledge of e-commerce technology and sophisticated analytics.
Deep understanding of web analytics including discounting attribution rates.
