Snaps is looking for a Senior Software Engineer! Our engineering team comprises humble and knowledgeable individuals who are focused on building out our distributed platform. As a Senior Software Engineer at Snaps you will:
Support the automation strategy for our continuous integration pipeline and delivery systems
Manage and model relational and non-relational caches, databases and warehouses
Make informed trade-offs between consistency, availability, and complexity
Develop and maintain AWS production, development and test infrastructure
Support our front-end React web application development
Answer ad-hoc system usage inquiries and data requests
Be able to defend your ideas but remain flexible
Ideally, you have:
2+ years developing web-based SaaS applications and APIs
A CS degree or equivalent experience (data structures, algos, time complexity)
An intuitive understanding of programming styles and how they fit together
Experience deploying services across the AWS infrastructure
A high degree of comfort on a Linux command line
Personal projects or open source contributions to share
Worked extensively with a variety of data interchange formats
ETL expertise - surfacing knowledge and insights from large data sets
