Chicago wanted to address childhood obesity by improving access to its 540 parks, but how do you engage a population of 2 million? Tipton, Indiana, a small farming community wanted to prevent “brain drain”, but how do you engage a rural community? The answer was sMap!

Created by nationally award-winning urban planners, sMap is a cloud-based community engagement platform that allows Cities to effectively engage and empower its residents. Once a City or government agency subscribes to sMap its Citizens can map and prioritize the issues within their community, allowing cities to be smarter, by directing resources to address the issues that matter most.

Cities of all sizes struggle with how best to communicate with their citizens. That’s why we created sMap. In the last 5 years more than 140 cities across the world - a have utilized sMap to:

• Fight obesity

• Improve community health and livability

• Strength economic development

• Tackle public safety issues
