**Who are we?**

Silicon Allee is an innovation district in the heart of Berlin, housing hundreds of startups, venture capitalists, coworking spaces and our very own, newly opened tech campus. Since 2011, Silicon Allee’s mission has been to unite, promote and advance Berlin’s international startup community. The Silicon Allee Campus, growing to over 13,000 m2 of office and co-living space by 2018, was developed by the founding team that realized Factory Berlin and will serve as the Berlin node of their international network of campuses.

The Silicon Allee team organizes events, produces news and content and consults fast-growth companies, expanding to or launching from Berlin. We are founded by entrepreneurs and carry that spirit forward with lean methodology and a tight-knit, maximum-hustle, all-for-one spirit.

**The Role & Responsibilities:**

The Silicon Allee Campus hosts several event spaces, including a rooftop penthouse, a central atrium, a huge courtyard as well as a cafe & beer bar open to the public. With over 400 employees and Residents in the building, and a wide network of local and international players from the startup and tech scene, we plan to host several events each week.

The role of the Event Lead is essential to keeping the buzz on campus and connecting Residents with our outside community. Events range from smaller networking meetups and talks to large receptions and conferences for international tech companies, all seeking to connect with the Berlin startup community.

Core duties:

• Support Resident companies in organizing their internal events in our spaces.
• Liaise with larger tech companies and their event agencies to fulfil all needs as a location for their event.
• Manage a pipeline of incoming event requests.
• Plan and organize our own internal event series (Office Hours, Dinners, Meetups, etc.) and organize content for them.
• Proactively reach out and build relationships with valuable event series in Berlin and internationally.
• Manage expectations and experience for any event sponsors.
• Ensure that events are well planned, organized and running smoothly from start to finish.
• Manage event marketing and invitations to our network. (Make sure the room is full!)
• Manage event space setup and teardown.
• Manage a pipeline of incoming event requests.
• Manage event budgets and ensure communication of costs.
• Host tours of our event spaces to interested parties and coordinate the event offers for external parties.
• Work with the team to decide on the ideal technical needs for each space.
• Coordinate with external caterers, lighting and tech suppliers, cleaners and other event related third parties to ensure services are carried out and prompt delivery and pickup of items occurs.

**Our Ideal Candidate:**

We’re looking for a passionate events star who doesn’t mind diving into the high stress environment of events. We’ve hosted events in off-locations, construction sites and many ‘unofficial’ places - often on a very tight timeline (and budget). Must have:

• Experience organizing events of various formats (Fireside Chats, Receptions, Hackathons, Parties, etc.)
• Prior experience in Event Management or Event Production.
• Fluent in English
• Ability to independently produce an event, or an event series
• Detailed oriented
• Flexible schedule
• Ability to work on a tight timeline
• Great at working with external event partners (caterers, lighting / tech companies, cleaning services, etc.)
• Proficient in Google Apps
