I am a writer with a strong background in education and linguistics. I work as the HabitRPG Community Manager, running their blog, writing their press releases, and engaging directly with the community. I also help them with organization, creative ideas, and pixel art.
I am particularly interested in creative approaches to education. In 2012, I presented my work on the use of linguistics to improve the teaching of heritage Spanish at Harvard’s 2nd Symposium on Spanish as a Heritage Language - Applying Innovative & Effective Pedagogy for Spanish Heritage Speakers in the Classroom. I have also taught English as a second language in Spain during the 2012-2013 school year, and have taught writing for the past three summers as a Program Assistant for CTY John Hopkins.
I am the author of three plays, one published and two professionally produced, and one short story, published in Spellbound Magazine.
IIn 2010, I worked in the Polinsky Language Lab at Harvard as a research assistant during the fall, and in the UCLA Language Lab as an assistant during the summer.
While at Harvard, I also worked in community outreach and ASL advocacy for the Harvard Committee on Deaf Awareness.
