I launched Village Fishmonger, a seafood startup that has acquired 350 subscription members and started a wholesale arm in just under a year. In addition to creating and running Village Fishmonger as a for-profit business, I also created and produced the first ever Sustainable Seafood Week NYC, a dining and event series dedicated to celebrating and raising awareness of and promoting education for responsibly harvested seafood in May 2013. Successfully partnering with 30+ restaurants and 15 product/event space sponsors to produce 7 events during a one week span, proceeds from the week benefitted the New York Harbor Foundation which seeks to restore and celebrate New York Harbor through 'Harbor School's Billion Oyster Project'.
