We believe that there are entrepreneurs both within the continent and outside with groundbreaking ideas. What’s lacking is smart capital investment and expertise to help make them a reality. Despite the fact that more than $5B was invested in African tech companies in 2021, this is less than 0.1% of total global venture capital.
Our goal is to be the earliest and most helpful partner to Africa’s entrepreneurs. We invest when it’s just an idea/deck or prototype - we can also partner to incubate ideas with our community of passionate operators, founders and professionals. Our community is made up of experienced African operators, founders, professionals and enthusiasts from leading tech companies, who have deep conviction that startups can lead the charge for a better Africa.
What started in 2018 as a WhatsApp group for under represented minorities to share opportunities has evolved into a 1900 strong community empowered to directly invest in the growth of the place we love, and call home. We believe this pool of knowledge is a super power our founders can leverage, especially since these powerful advocates have skin in the game.

All of our deal flow comes from those relationships.
