As Bold's 1st hire, I owned & built many of the company's marketing pages as well as the UI/UX for many of the product's features, including:
- Comments (similar...more to commenting on a story on Medium) - Image collections (the ability to drag/drop multiple images into a scrollable lightbox gallery) - Real-time functionality (see when someone else is typing a comment, etc.)
Played a major role in the transition the product's UI from it's original (6-year old) look/feel to it's current UI.
Worked with clients of various sizes to deliver apps, prototypes, and maintenance/updates of existing UIs. Most notably, I built prototypes for version 1 of LG's webOS platform,...more which were used in user research to help inform the platform's design.
Other clients worked with: - Adaptive Insights - Ericsson - Kidaptive - Sentilla (since acquired by Ericsson)
I was hired at Recurly as the 3rd front-end engineer. Of my original team of 6, within 2 months of my start date, all but 1 of them left the company. Together, we saw through the completion of Recurly's UI overhaul, which involved thousands of lines of React and Ruby on Rails, replicating complicated payments logic, and extensive testing. This ultimately went off without a hitch, and not a single customer reported any show-stopping issues over the course of the rollout.
I am looking to join a company with a healthy culture that highly values its people, and fosters growth, curiosity, exploration, and team building. If your team or company fits this criteria, I would love to chat!
