ReferralMD is a cloud based, highly secure and scalable web application using cutting edge web application architecture. The core framework is Node.js + AngularJS. The data is stored in MongoDB, the most widely used NoSQL database. The UI is built with Twitter Bootstrap and is responsive for use on tablets and mobile devices. The platform is hosted on AWS. The system is designed to be fully HIPAA compliant and scalable.

Building the team:
The founders met through a personal friend and both moved to San Francisco to start referralMD together. All good things come from good timing, luck, persistence and a ton of hard work.

The team uses Pivotal Tracker, Yammer, and Lean Startup principles to stay in constant communication with each other so that nothing is missed.
Personal experiences from the founder gave light to the major communication issues that cause frustration for millions of patients and doctors around the world. With Jonathan's mother consistently in the hospital for much of his life, he decided to help her and millions like her receive better care from healthcare facilities.
I have 15 years experience with business management and software development. I have led several large scale projects at Microsoft, Boeing, and Salesforce, as well as delivered smaller projects and mobile apps for AAA and Leap Motion while at a design studio, Hot Studio.
My passion is to apply strategy to deliver products to market, technical design and development, agile software development, and lean organizational principles.
Started his first company at 13. 6 companies total, of which 3 were startups.
Has written over 300+ healthcare publications and guides for referralMD.
Created a Think Tank of 55 CEO's and business owners which developed into a software company to solve his own referral management problems, called mynetworkfactory.
