Job Description

Bcoin is an open source fullnode implementation written from scratch in Node.js. Bcoin is one of three implementations (others being Core & btcd) that have mined a block and used in production today.

We built bcoin specifically for production systems at scale. Originally created to be used as backend infrastructure for Purse, bcoin enables companies to spin up consumer-grade bitcoin applications/wallet systems without the long-term concern of scalability, and security.

Companies running on bcoin include BitPay, btc.com, and Ripio.

Required:
5-10 Years experience contributing to open source projects is a must for this role. Applications without this information will not be considered.

Cryptocurrency experience preferred.

What We're Building

Purse enables anyone to find the lowest listed price on any product sold on Amazon by naming their own discount and paying with cryptocurrency. We develop bcoin (bcoin.io), an enterprise-ready javascript implementation of Bitcoin, which powers many services including those at Purse, BitPay, Decentraland, and Ripio.

We build consumer-facing apps that live right on top of lower-level blockchain protocols. We pride ourselves on our compassion, communication and the ability to self-start. All members of our team are highly technical, having significant experience up and down the stack. We also pay all salaries in Bitcoin. We’re serious about our crypto =)

Energized at the thought of joining a team of experts while building the future of financial technology?

The best way to get our attention is to show us something you’ve built, designed, or organized. We like self-starters who are eager to learn and know what they're good at.
