Product

Playrific provides young children with constantly refreshed, age-appropriate videos, games, books & more that reflect their likes and interests, through a variety of different channels.

The company offers its web and mobile apps direct-to-consumers, its curation capabilities to tablet manufacturers, and it licenses its media-publishing technology to brands and business partners as a quick and economical way to launch special-purpose mobile apps designed to engage – and draw insights from – young consumers. In this third channel, the development process is cost-effective and quick-to-market, and app content can be updated without the need to submit a new app to any of the existing app stores. A brand’s existing digital assets can be easily repurposed, or Playrific’s curation team can assemble related content for our partners.

Why Us?

Candidates can expect to work with exceptionally knowledgeable individuals, who bring a wide variety of technical background. The team believes that the market for educational software, especially educational software for young children will grow substantially in the coming three to five years. The team further believes that kids, especially very young kids, are shut out of the Internet at a time when a vast amount of learning happens (ages 2 to 8). Making the Internet “safe” for kids, especially very young kids opens a world of exploration for kids where the requirements for learning are merely curiosity and a computer; not education-oriented parents, wealth, or great pre-schools. The team is dedicated to opening that world to young kids everywhere. In this environment, the candidate can expect broad exposure to cloud computing management, distributed architecture, reliance on open source, and world-class teammates.
