Peter and I know each other from attending the Stanford Graduate School of Business together. From the time spent in class together and our discussions about entrepreneurship I had the pleasure to learn about Peter's passion for understanding and supporting the early stages of ventures. His experience and exposure to early stage startups makes Peter a very high-value early stage investor and advisor. He invested in our company, Travelnuts, amongst the earliest investors. Our experience was delightful because Peter moved quickly both in meeting with us and in making a decision. And equally as readily followed through on his commitment. He then immediately provided introductions to other relevant investors, sent candidates our way for open positions at our company, as well as provided a very useful template for our first Investor Update, along with an email filled with useful tips and examples. Peter is among the investors who always reply to a request for help, and he does that very quickly. Peter is one of the first investors I think about when close friends, who are starting companies I believe in, start to fundraise. I always feel like I am doing a favor to both the my entrepreneur friends and Peter whenever I create a connection between them. I strongly endorse Peter as a very valuable and supportive angel investor.

Super sharp, decisive, and hands-on. Peter was one of our earliest investors, and took a big risk investing in our fledgling startup. Since then, he has continuously made relevant introductions, provided feedback, and contributed his knowledge and experience from building his own business to help us grow ours. Thrilled to have him on board!

Peter was an early investor in Aptible. He is incredibly founder-friendly: easy to work with and makes decisions quickly. Peter has also been astonishingly helpful, with both introductions to his network and advice. I highly recommend him as an angel investor!
Peter has been a fantastic investor in my company. He was the first investor to believe in the company and has been supportive since his investment. He provided useful advice at key decision points. Peter strikes the right balance of being available and hands on when we need him, without being intrusive.
Founder of SniffSpot. Passionate about my pup Soba and improving the experience of dogs and dog owners!
Not only is Peter a great guy, he is also easy to work with, makes (good) decision quickly (including investing in my company) and is very active and helpful in relevant ways. Highly recommend him as a colleague, investor and/or advisor.

Peter is an astute investor, who saw potential in us early. In my experience working with him, he has added substantial value beyond the money - including high impact introductions and advice. He made an investment decision quickly (a rarity among angel investors), and has been a pleasure to work with.

I am blown away by Peter's level of commitment, insight and resourcefulness. He brings more value to the table than most, and his help isn't just spot-on, it's thoughtfully delivered, too. I'm truly grateful to have him as an investor.
Peter has been an ideal angel investor every step of the way. He was able to make his decision to invest quickly-- asking only the important questions and without wasting our time or his. Throughout the course of the company he has provided relevant insights and offered to make several helpful introductions. When times have been tough, he has been helpful and supportive. His professionalism and positivity have made him a pleasure to have as an investor and I would recommend him highly to others.

I did not know Peter before doing our AL round for home61.com and he was one of the best surprise from this raise. He reached out offered to help from the beginning and has been a tremendous added value to the company and myself. He has helped us with many introductions to VCs and even introduced us to our latest Co-founder. I highly recommend having him as a investor.

Peter has been a terrific investor. As a past entrepreneur himself, he knows and understands the challenges of being a founder and is focused on providing the highest-impact help and value. He has a strong network, is super smart and insightful, and has been a pleasure to work with. Any entrepreneur will be lucky to have him supporting their business.

Peter has been an awesome investor to work with. He led an angel syndicate in our latest round and was highly effective, diligent and the closing went super smooth. He also gave me invaluable feedback on our business and connected me to helpful people in his network.

Peter has been a thoughtful, clear-minded co-investor in the syndicate we led together. His attention to detail and emphasis on being transparent, forthright and responsive towards the founders made me want to raise my own game. I hope to work on more investments with him in the future.

Decided to work with Peter because I'd heard great things from another entrepreneur I know well from college. I didn't regret it. He was the most conscientious investor that I've worked with. Goes deep. Makes sure he understands. Great writer. And, most importantly, raised a bunch of money for us, and even brought a really prominent investor from a big fund into the round.

Peter has been an indispensable resource to interviewing.io as a company and to me personally as a founder. This list probably doesn't capture everything he's done, but he has:
- Provided a steady stream of high-quality fundraising intros - Helped me refine my pitch... we operate in a space that isn't super popular with venture (hiring), and he came up with positioning I wouldn't have been able to articulate on my own. This kind of reframing is what Unpopular Ventures/Peter specialize in -- taking deals that go against the grain - All founders periodically fall on hard times... having someone like Peter to during those hard time is a gift
Any team and founder would be lucky to have him in their corner.

Peter was one of the early investors in Landis. When many didn’t understand what we were doing, he saw potential in what Tom and I were building. Peter is easy to work with and embodies the concept of “founder friendliness.” Pete is on my side no matter what and I know I can trust him. Peter also loves to ask “how can I help?” - a question few in the industry ask so frequently. Finally, his humility and authenticity are refreshing. Highly recommended!
I have been a serial entrepreneur for almost a decade and have raised about $60M in equity from a couple dozen investors. I can confidently say Peter is the best investor I've had and look forward to working with him for many years.
Some traits, 1. Does his homework and has a stunning ability to grasp the full picture. His understanding of – in our case the rarefied tolling industry – was sharp, and his synthesis of what we do and how to size the opportunity was so good I incorporated it into our pitch. 2. Amazingly responsive. Not that one should expect Peter to keep these standards – Peter, don't – but when I message him he usually answers within… minutes. This is abnormal for any person, and exceedingly rare in a VC. 3. Honest to a fault. He has helped us with (and ultimately led both of) our fundraisings. He was forthcoming about the challenges, red herrings, and opportunities – on top of making high-quality intros –, really allowing us to map the landscape and the right strategy (our second fundraise was in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis). He'll tell you things that can be detrimental for him as an investor but good for the company – to call this atypical would be a gross understatement.
I could write for a while but in the interest of not diluting the message, I'll stop here. Oh, he also has one of the best deal flows in the Valley: this guy is like a saint version of Sauron, he sees it all.
Serial entrepreneur in hardware and infrastructure
Peter has been a key part of Belvo’s story: his strong belief in our vision made him an advocate of our company, which allowed us to bring on board extremely good investors. Moreover, we use Peter as an advisor who thinks more as an entrepreneur than as an investor, and his advice is always in the best interest of the founder. His implication in the company has truly increased the value of it, which is what someone always looks for in an investor. Finally, his vision of the market is pretty remarkable: he predicted exactly what would happen during Covid way before it was a thread to the World.
