NIRA is looking for a talented content writer to create and publish engaging content.
Launched in mid 2018, NIRA is a consumer finance venture with a mission to bring financial services to working class Indians. Today, 90% of Indians get turned away by banks when they need money and are forced to go to expensive local moneylenders. It doesn’t need to be this way. Using data and technology, NIRA can offer credit to these people in a fast and completely digital way, but most importantly at a MUCH lower cost.

If you take a moment to think about all the financial brands you’re familiar with, whether it’s the big banks like HDFC, ICICI etc., or lenders like Bajaj Finserv, they all have one thing in common… they only serve the top 10% of Indians. There are no large financial brands for India’s mass market. It’s a white space. It is this vacuum that NIRA intends to fill: we will be the biggest financial brand for Middle India. As a content writer, we want you to help us build this reality.

Communication with our customers and other stakeholders is a critical part to building a new brand. We need to communicate in a way that our users can understand. We need to develop trust. We need to be distinctive. And we must be bold.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Writing high quality articles, e-mailers, copy lines, blog posts and other related content. This will include conducting research and using insights from our own surveys, Google trends etc.

Work with the design and video teams to create the social media calendar for upcoming months. Provide brand relevant ideas, copy, descriptions, and hashtags. Simultaneously, also provide copy, descriptions for ongoing social media campaigns.

Engaging with communities on Quora, FB, LinkedIn and other discussion forums

Coordinate with the PR team to provide insights relevant to the brand and the TG. Provide content collateral for the same if required.

Write and edit content for web and in-app requirements.

Write well researched blog articles optimised with keywords for SEO. Execute the same on the CMS (Drupal), social media pages, and internal mailers/newsletters.

Coordinate with the operations and customer support teams to create communication templates for Playstore reviews, mailers, in-app notifications, SMS campaigns, etc.

Skills & Qualifications:

Passionate about writing engaging content

Excellent articulation and communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly is a must.

Have a flair for the written word, can make words ‘sing’ on a page

Have an opinion! We need our brand to be expressive. You’ll be given space to express yourself too.

Preferably from a literature and communication background
