Niantic, Inc. encourages players to go on adventures with others and on foot. We’re passionate about real-world, social mobile games like Ingress and Pokémon GO. Our marketing team is seeking a full-time Global Direct Marketing and Email Manager. You will be a critical part of the Niantic marketing team in this fast-paced, creative role with time-sensitive responsibilities.

The Global Direct Marketing and Email Manager will collaborate with cross functional teams (including product marketing, community management, regional marketing and product management) to develop email campaigns that will reach a growing global audience of tens of millions of users across a variety of diverse countries. In addition to email campaigns, this role will also manage the communications plan and execution for Niantic’s global push notification and in-app messaging channels, factoring in where our users are in their customer journey and ensuring we deliver the right message at the right time to the right user.

Core Responsibilities:

-Management of the Niantic email, push notification, and in-app messaging campaigns.
-Email, push and in-app messaging content creation for all Niantic products with the goal of driving strong user engagement. This content creation includes major campaign ideas, writing and editing, selecting and formatting images, and working with our translation agency to get content localized in multiple languages.
-Working with internal Niantic stakeholders and partners on content revisions and approvals, and ensuring that all Niantic and partner brand guidelines are adhered to and approved.
-Familiarity and knowledge of HTML coding for managing or troubleshooting of email campaigns in multiple languages.
-Email, push and in-app messaging list segmentation and deployment specifications for the Niantic product team.
-Email, push and in-app messaging campaign analytics, reporting, and performance optimization.

Required Qualifications

-Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
-Minimum 5-7 years of work experience in email campaign management with demonstrated capabilities in segmenting, tracking & optimizing campaigns, and ensuring they are integrated within broader marketing campaigns.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. (Additional languages are a big plus, but not required.)
-The ability to produce high-quality content quickly that is grammatically correct and consistent in tone and style with Niantic and partner brand guidelines.
-Proficiency with HTML.
-Proficiency with Photoshop.
-Experience with the Google Apps Suite, or the ability to pick it up quickly based on a high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
-Ability to multi-task, be flexible, and handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
-Extremely detailed and organized.
-Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
-Motivated self starter who enjoys new challenges and wants to be a part of a dynamic, fast-growing global company.
-Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
