EA was facing a major downturn in the macroeconomic climate, and was at risk of losing substantial share in the US market.
Significantly lower product quality than previous years combined with improvements by competitors and an unwillingness to change how EA brought products to market for fear of devaluing the brand stood in the way of overcoming severe market conditions.
Engineered a retail promotion program to counter trends in macroeconomic climate and create demand for the casual shopper. Convinced senior leadership of the need to positively disrupt status quo with short-term pricing actions after multiple proofs of concept and analyses of potential cannibalism. Built and rolled out a Trade Funds tool to the Field Sales organization that automated the submission, approval, tracking, and cross-functional communication of all company-funded Sell Through rebate programs.
Drove incremental revenues of $100M+ and incremental profits of $30M+ per year for 5 consecutive years.
