Dating sites may have lost the stigma they used to have, but they’re still no substitute for a chance meeting with a stranger that turns into something special. MeetCute is an interesting service that is looking to encourage serendipitous meetings between
In San Francisco, a bunch of romantics have set up Meet Cute, a free dating agency of sorts to fix random encounters between people. Neither person knows anything about the other. Instead, you get sent details of where and when to be, with the promise tha
MeetCute is one of the most beautiful and engaging ideas we've come across for quite some time. Daniel is a brilliant and passionate founder who we were thrilled to be able to help out in the early stages of his venture. Work with him. Invest in him. Go on a date with him. You won't regret it!
Anyone who looks at the Meetcute product can't help but be struck by the clarity of vision demonstrated here. In a world filled with me-too, incremental products, it's refreshing and inspiring to see such a bold, creative (and original) approach to an age-old problem.
I know Dan as the founder of Questli where I still am the lead investor. He is a winning personality with great ideas and ambition. He hired a team, developed an alpha version and won TechCrunch Disrupt Audience Choice 2011.
The MeetCute team gets it. They have created a... well, cute concept! You know those moments when you see a person you think is cute, and you just want to say hi? Well, they have created a app that enables more of those moments to happen. Their app is impressively subtle (UI/ UX), yet viral in terms of growth and adoption. Follow this great team and learn more about the power of creating cute moments.
MeetCute is a great way to push people back into real, emotional life, that they loose in this overloaded with information and deliberate decisions world. That is another example of an idea laid on the top, but not been implemented. Danil and Daniel are the first who have enough vision, understanding, enthusiasm and resources to catch this idea and bring it to life.
I met my wife in the way I will be proud to tell to our children. I wish the same to everyone and MeetCute promises to help people feel the same and meet like their favorite romantic movies characters do.
I know Danil for some time and all the projects he took part in were promising and successful. I hope this project will also grow up to be the de facto standard of spontaneous, vivid dates, and believe that the idea and people who work on it have enough potential to reach that.
Daniel clearly has the passion to bring some cinematic magic to the dating world. The work I've seen on MeetCute accomplishes a rare feat: it's bringing charm to online dating, which could attract an entirely new audience.
The profound idea behind Meetcute is deceptively simple. Whereas other dating startups assume that dating is a puzzle to be solved, Meetcute believes it can be the moment destiny reveals the love of your life. So instead of killing all romance by trying to figure out the mystery for its users, it instead enables it and lets serendipity do the rest.
