When most media outlets were twiddling their thumbs with panels, roundtables, and keynotes that gave us the same prepackaged soundbites over and over, we grabbed our cameras and rode shotgun with some of the most exciting entrepreneurs of our time - from serial entrepreneurs with three IPO’s under their belt to ...more innovators no one has ever heard of. We went behind the scenes to capture the daily grind, hustle, and payoff of entrepreneurs from Chicago to Silicon Valley, Nashville to New York City. And you know what we learned? Every entrepreneur has a great story. Every entrepreneur has wisdom and inspiration to share. And when you put those stories, wisdom and inspiration into the hands of great storytellers - you have Trep Life.
In 2012, we launched Trep Life’s first documentary series with one of the most respected and influential entrepreneur media outlets around - Inc. Magazine. We produced 32 documentary episodes and live broadcasts featuring the founders of companies including Box, GrubHub, IndieGoGo, Mint, Stonyfield Farms, and Naja. Never heard of Naja or its founder Catalina Girald? Her lingerie company is taking market share from Victoria’s Secret. She’s a badass, and we’re in the business of telling the stories of badasses.
We grew our audience to over a million, and worked with sponsors like Chrysler, UPS, and Bank of America. We built a network of influential entrepreneurs, got to meet Richard Branson, Mark Cuban, Julia Hartz, and Tony Hsieh. We grew our relationships with folks like Inc and Fast Company, EO, YEC, and the Founder Institute. And finally came up with how to punch Shark Tank in the balls. (Sorry, Mark. It’s coming and you don’t even know it. Fall 2016. Getting punched. In the shark balls.)
Our vision is to become the dominant global media brand of the entrepreneurial life - "Trep Life Everywhere." This isn't just another "how to build a company" product. This is about the LIFE of an entrepreneur. We tell stories that inspire, entertain, and provide wisdom and insights for our viewers to succeed in entrepreneurship - and in life.
Over the coming months, Trep Life is rolling out a weekly news show, additional documentary series, digital editorial, and a reality game show called “The Advantage.”
