Job Description

Lumity is a well-funded data-driven startup aiming to disrupt the $1 trillion dollar health insurance ecosystem by providing customized health plan and benefits recommendations to businesses nationwide. For the first time, employers and employees can collaborate on health plan decisions using actionable insights powered by our predictive algorithms - saving money and improving benefits at the same time.
We are looking for a part-time Office Assistant to organize and coordinate office administration and assist with HR duties. A successful candidate will ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency and safety. This role reports directly to the HR Manager, and is based out of Lumity’s San Mateo office.

You will have the ability to handle a wide range of administrative, HR and executive support related tasks. Additionally, you should be able to work independently with little supervision. You must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy administrative challenges.


Serve as the point person for office duties including, but not limited to:
-Administrative tasks: maintenance, mailing, supplies, bills and expenses
-Maintain Applicant Tracking System; scheduling phone screens and on-site interviews
-Update and maintain employee e-profiles across multiple platforms
-Manage mail log and ensure all incoming bills are invoiced and paid on time
-Plan and schedule team building events, office parties and happy hours
-Organize office operations and procedures
-Manage contract and price negotiations with office vendors, service providers and office lease
-Provide general support to visitors

Skills and Experience

-Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
-Attention to detail and problem solving skills
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Strong organizational and planning skills
-Proficiency in MS Office

Pay range: $17-$22 per hour
Offered payment depends on experience
