LOFELT creates high-quality tech products for people who love sound and music. In 2016, we debuted the Basslet, a wearable subwoofer for your body. We are now looking for a highly-skilled and enthusiastic mechanical design engineer to join our team. In this high-responsibility role, you will create the mechanical design for the next generation of Lofelt products and technologies.
You will be working on new and innovative hardware consumer products.
You will innovate, design and simulate new vibrating motors for use in future products.
You will create the mechanical design of future Lofelt products from idea to production.
You will lead and participate in design and manufacturing discussions with the team, founders, and partners, and will have the opportunity to help drive the direction of our product vision.
You will establish the design integrity of each product (manufacturing documentation, tolerance stacks, manufacturing specification creation).
You will closely work with our manufacturing partners to review DFM and participate in electro-mechanical integration at our CMs.
Profound experience in design & simulation of dynamic systems and/or motors
Strong hands-on approach to prototyping
Good knowledge in electromagnetics
Experience in DFM, DFA and DFC
5+ years experience in Solidworks or similar
Strong risk-assessment skills
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
