Ring Twice has launched a new way to provide services and make daily tasks carried out in an easy, fast and interactive manner through a web application with more than 1.5 million users in Belgium & France. Ring Twice is a marketplace where we allow our users to find trustworthy people in their neighborhood, ready to share their talents and passions to give them a hand (gardening, assembling IKEA furniture, piano classes, taking care of the dog during the holidays,…).

We are currently looking for an outstanding Ruby on Rails Developer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Improve Ring Twice’s back-end features and stability
• Participating in Code Reviews & Pair Programming to ensure the quality, maintainability of the code and knowledge sharing
• Monitor performance and bugs in order to guarantee a unique experience to our users
• Participate in the development of internal tools
• Challenge, implement and demonstrate the new features being part of an agile team

Required skills

• You have at least 3 years of experience with Ruby and/or Ruby On Rails
• Experience with legacy code and old codebases
• Understand the importance of building structured code that is fast, reliable and robust
• Experience with automated testing (unit/integration/feature tests) (RSpec)
• Strong software architecture & data modeling skills
• Strong knowledge of data structures, design patterns, and software engineering best practices

• Web Back-end: Ruby on Rails
• Web front-end: ReactJS, HTML 5 (HAML & SLIM), CSS 3, etc.
• Mobile App Back-end: Ruby on Rails API
• Mobile App Front-end: React Native
• Database: Postgres, Memcache
• Infrastructure: Heroku, AWS, Cloudfront
• Team: Scrum, Git, Github
