Level Frames is a cutting edge e-commerce brand building the best experience online for custom framing. We help people (and businesses) frame treasured artwork and photos, helping them to better enjoy their home and work spaces. We’re a growing startup that is passionate about teamwork, helping our customers, and creating amazing experiences both on and offline.

We are looking for a Sales & Customer Experience Lead

This position is in many ways the face of Level Frames as a first point of contact for anyone reaching out about custom framing, along with our existing customers who are returning to frame artwork, photos and other meaningful items. These projects range from a single framed photo, to dozens of custom framed items destined for an art gallery or new office space.

The person in this role will gain a deep understanding of our full product offering, the framing methods we use, the needs of our artist partners and pain points of our customers. However, we don’t require any knowledge of custom framing on day one.

More importantly, we are looking for a high degree of integrity, work ethic, can-do attitude and accountability. You'll become a trusted resource for new and repeat customers, and obsessed with delivering the best experience possible to drive trust and repeat business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

> Customer Support
On a daily basis, people visit our site, chat or call in and send us emails. You’ll respond to questions, provide framing advice, and generally make sure each interaction is prompt and positive, turning as many inquiries as possible into sales and cultivating repeat business with existing customers.

> Operations
Once orders are placed, you’ll coordinate with our framing and fulfillment team if there are any special instructions to be aware of. You’ll track lost packages, keep an eye on shipping deadlines and schedule courier deliveries for oversize frames. Keeping all of “the trains running on time" is key, using a number of tools we’ve built specifically for this purpose plus services like Slack and Trello for communication and tracking.

> Sales & New Business
Potential customers may write in for a quote but not make a purchase until week or months later. You will stay on top of all open inquiries and leads, following up with appropriate info as needed. You will also hunt out brand new customers and business, generating leads across interior design firms, artist websites, co-working spaces, hotels, restaurants and more, connecting with them directly via phone and email.

> Marketing
You’ll contribute to our content marketing efforts by helping with articles on our blog, social media posts, newsletter emails, seasonal promotions and other ongoing tasks.

> Customer Experience & New Products
By being on the front lines and seeing how people are using (or not using) our framing services, you will be in a great position to contribute insights and influence the new products and features we launch. You’ll develop additional use cases and sales strategies through brainstorming with the team, integrating knowledge from your support and sales activities back into the service itself.

Detail oriented and organized. You can figure out how to prioritize your time and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Persuasive and personable. Your writing, conversational style, and demeanor foster immediate trust.

Adept at problem solving, and able to get right back on your feet following any setbacks.

You could strike up a friendly conversation with a stranger at the dog park or waiting in line somewhere, and naturally turn it into your next best lead or closed sale.

You have experience dealing with customers, clients or partners in a fast paced environment.

You're persistent, relentless, with a desire to continuously learn and get better. Once you know what you are doing, you are comfortable making decisions on your own and driving towards the goals in front of you.

This position is full-time with benefits. You will work from our Brooklyn office, with some flexibility to work remotely. Salary and equity commensurate with experience.

What We're Building

Level is a platform that enables any digital asset owner to create revenue from visual content. We have developed an end-to-end service for framing any poster, print, photo or digital artwork. Delivering the same quality as the custom frame shop (or better), at about half the price. We’re expanding the $30B+ wall decor market by bringing framing to new contexts and audiences.

Our API allows us to rapidly build new experiences around framing, and extend the customization and purchase process into other sites and apps.
