We are looking for a prolific and talented content creator to write and produce various types of content regularly, to expand our company’s digital footprint, awareness, subscribers, and sales. This role requires a high level of creativity, adaptability, attention to detail, and advanced project and time management skills.

Location:

This is a full-time, fully remote position. You'd be expected to spend time with both co-founders in Los Angeles and Miami every so often, as well as a mandatory week at Roots Gobal headquarturters every three months in Miami, FL.

Responsibilities:

Create content to drive traffic, subscribers, awareness, and/or other important metrics (examples include website copy, product descriptions, email marketing content, guides, product packaging, blog posts, catalog copy, Amazon content, etc.).

Blog on an ongoing basis to support and promote products and to attract site visitors through organic search, social media, and email subscribers.
Grow subscriber base by providing them with regular, helpful content that’s aligned with their needs and interests.

Contribute effectively within a team environment. This role is at the core of the content marketing team, and others on the team will rely on your work every single day.

Collaborate with other content writers, graphic designers, product marketers, sales professionals, and external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience.

Manage regular social media posts and online communities by providing compelling content native to each channel for optimum amplification and engagement.

Balance multiple ongoing tasks and meet tight deadlines while ensuring the quality of your copy is consistent and on par with brand voice and style guidelines.

Play a pivotal role in maintaining consistent brand messaging, voice, and tone across all channels by writing clear, engaging, and detailed copy that is aligned with our brand ideals.

Requirements:

• BA/BS or equivalent working experience
• Experience creating content for the web or growing a social audience, including past experience building and managing audiences either online or offline
• Ability to research, analyze and develop content that will resonate with our intended audience on specific social platforms to increase performance
• Flexibility and time management: you must have project management skills that demonstrate your ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and take responsibility for deadlines
• Strong attention to detail in copy editing and proofreading
• Proactive and positive team player with a willingness to learn, deliver and receive feedback, and tackle any tasks that arise
• A dual-minded approach: You’re highly creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions
