Kyazoonga’s Payments Operations team strives to create a great payment experience for users on our platform. We’re looking for a Senior Payments Operations Manager to drive and define our payment operations strategy.
Your role will be a blend of strategy, operations, insights, and product. You’ll report to and work closely with our Fraud and Payments team to evolve our current payment strategy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Analytics, and Research to define the strategic plan for Pay
Define and manage the Pay playbook
Build and lead supporting team, with P&L management for Pay & Risk Operations
Identify discrepancies and spot fraud; develop risk prevention systems and processes
Select, influence, and build vendor relationships
Develop operational strategy and tactics to ensure a seamless payments experience
Partner with finance to optimize compliance pay procedures
Work closely with engineering and product to remove friction and create delight for both sides of the marketplace
Work closely with Product to prioritize and scope product investments in Pay
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Bachelor's Degree from a top school
5+ years of experience in a payments role at a payments company, bank, or online marketplace
Results-driven and highly quantitative
Experience working with spreadsheets, pivot tables, and SQL
Experience working with transactional systems, processes or analytics in a technology company
Experience in managing fraud, chargebacks, and payments processing
Expertise in global payments industry, ideally with experience working in payments/banking
Passion for Kyazoonga and ticketing
Top-notch skills in both strategy and execution, ideally for a high growth technology company. You’ll need to frame and get buy-in on strategy from executive leadership, and then translate that strategy into priorities and projects
Analytical and strategic, you use data to make decisions and lead your team
Sense of humor and a get things done attitude
Proven track record of effective leadership with the ability to motivate and inspire both teams and individuals
Extremely efficient, with superb organizational skills. You’ll balance many projects and relationships simultaneously
