Network Operations Center (NOC) specialists are in charge of monitoring critical machines-in-network elements and engaging in proactive network systems monitoring. Troubleshooting is a daily task for a NOC specialist, and they also monitor the software, hardware, network, and signal strength from ADMs.
Our Autonomous Data Machines (ADM) run 24/7 out in the field nationwide and can be quite similar to running a data center - except our servers move, lots more stuff on the "servers" and they are running outside (and inside)! We are staffing up a team to keep an eye on our machines-in-network across client deployments with a birds eye view of the entire "Galaxy" of robots. Experience with Linux is required and ROS (Robot Operating System) would be a big plus. The position requires handling Level 1 issues and ability to work with senior engineers in resolving Level 2 and above issues. Flexibility in work hours is important as the Knightscope Network Operations Center (KNOC) runs 24/7.
Position would be suitable for a technician or IT specialist entering the workforce or someone with a technical background and basic programming skills. Additional responsibilities include working with technicians to make sure service calls are completed properly.
Our long-term mission is to make the United States of America the safest country in the world, changing everything for everyone
To date Knightscope's technology has assisted a law enforcement agency in issuing an arrest warrant, helped a security guard catch a thief, supported a corporate client with stopping a vandal and helped end a fraudulent insurance claim.
Our "Hardware + Software + Humans" approach significantly reduces costs for our clients, provides an innovative 24/7 force multiplier effect as well as new groundbreaking advanced anomaly detection capabilities. This new profound level of technology has been widely covered by the media including the CNBC, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, NBC, FOX, CNET, Silicon Valley Business Journal, Mashable, Bloomberg, Forbes, TIME and numerous others.
