We’re looking for a General Manager to rev up LA’s growth from scratch very quickly, and to continue sustainable growth on both sides of our business - for both renters and owners.
The LA General Manager will build out KitSplit’s largest market, which is crucial to the company’s success. This is a data-driven, high impact, and high expectation startup role. You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Growth Team, which is based at our Brooklyn HQ. We’re looking for someone who’s not just smart, but also self-motivated, has exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, knows or can learn the entertainment industry super quickly, and brings an analytical approach. You must also be open minded and approachable—a welcoming and supportive leader for our LA community. We're looking for a superstar who can operate independently, set and achieve goals, move quickly, and get things done, and who is excited by the idea of expanding KitSplit and supporting storytellers in the LA area.
What you’ll do:
-Run the LA business like an entrepreneur and manage all on-the-ground activities
-Work closely the CEO and Brooklyn HQ to develop the LA growth strategy
-Become an expert on the entertainment industry and the visual content production process in LA: understand the landscape, pain points, and market opportunity
-Manage offline and on the ground marketing and customer acquisition, keeping CPA low while hitting targets
-Identify and acquire buzz-worthy partners who will help accelerate growth and get the word out
-Organize killer sold-out events that make headlines
-Become a leader in the community, keep an ear to the ground on local trends, ideas, and happenings in the industry
-Develop relationships with local press outlets, partners, and clients
-Work closely with our HQ team to improve the product, content, and procedures to fit the needs of our LA members
-Be flexible to work on your own, while also being prepared to eventually hire and manage a team
-4-6 years of operational, analytical or sales/biz dev experience at an early stage startup, consulting firm, tech company or investment bank
-BA/BS from a top-tier university
-Proven leadership abilities and an outgoing personality
-Obsessed with data-driven growth- you get that dopamine effect when you make numbers go up
-Friendly, empathetic, and excited about enabling storytellers, the entertainment industry and the visual content production process
-Excellent writer and communicator
Bonus points for:
-Knowledge of, or experience in the entertainment industry or visual content production process
-Experience managing a P&L
-Experience hiring and managing a team
-Experience running events
