Since joining the company in 2003, he has overseen the implementation of strategic sales incentive plans aimed at increasing field, internet, and external partnership sales. This approach led to consistently exceeding sales quotas from 2003 to 2011 and a 22% increase in production.
Before taking on his role at Safeco, Mr. Stirpe functioned as a National Account Executive from 1999 to 2003 for Avaya, Inc., a global leader in business communication solutions. Working in the firm’s $8 billion Lucent Technologies division, he was responsible for implementing strategic business development initiatives for such prominent clients as NASA, AT&T, Qwest, SBC, BellSouth, and numerous US government agencies. While at Avaya, Mr. Stirpe excelled, ranking in the top 20 percent nationally for his sales record.
Throughout his career, Josh Stirpe has received numerous awards and recognitions for his quality work. He has been honored with a Liberty Mutual Leadership Award, the Safeco Driven Award, the Safeco Innovation Award, and the Safeco Milestone Award for his record-breaking contribution to the firm’s sales. Moreover, Mr. Stirpe was named an Avaya Millionaire Achiever for his significant contribution to sales early in his career.
