Our mission is to save engineers from building in-house data pipelines, by building one automated data pipeline that everyone can use. Every single company that uses SaaS tools to run their business will eventually need to analyze the data that sits in those tools. Fivetran unlocks this data with automated connectors that converts messy, chaotic APIs into normalized, standard schemas.
CareGuide is one of Canada’s fastest growing startups. We make it easier for families and individuals to find care for their loved ones through a portfolio of specialized marketplaces, including Housekeeper.com, Nanny Lane, ElderCare.com, and 26 others.
We have a history of being unorthodox. In 2015, we acquired CanadianNanny.ca and tripled its revenue within a year. In 2016, we made our foray into FinTech through an in-house payroll solution, and we’ve built a one-of-a-kind investor group including over 60 successful entrepreneurs. Last year, we launched Nanny Lane, helping families find nannies and nanny shares.
We’re a pretty tight-knit group. Our regular team socials, bi-weekly cross-team meetups, and catered Friday lunches help with this, but the real secret is hiring people who care about their colleagues and are excited to build something big.
This culture helps fuel a high-trust workplace, which allows us to do fun things like offer unlimited vacation. Our team is constantly looking to improve and works hard to build each other up. We succeed and fail together. In this vein, our company is seriously committed to your growth.
We've sold over 3,800 subscriptions.
We sold 357 new subscriptions in May, our best month ever.
We rely primarily on organic, non-paid search traffic.
Users don't often convert to customers on their first visit to our sites; they convert later once they engage with others through our private communications tools. We do a good job at re-engaging users via email and SMS notifications.
The front end of our platform is up to date with all the latest technologies and best practices--responsive design, live maps, parallax scrolling, asynchronous loading of assets, faceted geo-spatial search--and is delivered quickly over a CDN.
Serve-side we use Rails, Solr, memcached, and MySQL.

Our growth is driven entirely by inbound channels. Organic search, word-of-mouth, and integration partnerships with Slack, Yammer, and OneLogin are the most common ways that new customers find Bonusly.
Our product is "internally viral" - like Dropbox. An evangelist (manager or team lead) can adopt Bonusly for free and prove out the model. We only charge once the team size has grown to more than 25 users.
The founders of Bonusly bring 20+ years of software development experience to Bonusly.
We run on Rails with MongoDB as our datastore (Mongoid is our ODM).
We use Bootstrap, jQuery, and Angular.js on the front end.
For data visualizations, we use d3.js.
We practice BDD with both rspec (unit tests) and cucumber (integration tests). We use continuous integration and deployment with Codeship.

When we launched our first product on Product Hunt in December 2015, we were the most successful launch there ever focused on professional developers:
Here's why we're building the company in more depth:
We also wrote a blog post which gives a good sense of what our culture is like:
We’re using cutting-edge hybrid technologies (from the React ecosystem) to provide a frictionless experience for our users on mobile, and content contributors on desktop. Our tooling allows us to iterate quickly on the content we deliver to our users.
On the backend, we’re also building the first recommendation engine of bite-sized learning material for technical professionals. This recommendation engine provides our users with a personalised learning path, based on their level of expertise in various topics and their previous interaction with the app.
