Wanderu built the ITA and Kayak for ground travel. We collect, process and route partners’ data to deliver a consumer search that Millennials love and receive a percentage of each transaction. Our technology and low customer acquisition costs create a defensible, scalable business which we will use as the foundation for creating the travel brand for the next generation.
Stanza is building the Waze for calendar - a community driven approach to managing your time.
Today over 10K organizations use our platform including the NFL, NBA, NHL, NCAA, GOP, Nike and more. Our products are embedded on thousands of websites driving over 200M monthly pageviews. Over 6M users have synced 280M events to their personal calendars and rely on Stanza to always be up-to-date.
Couple neat things we built out internally:
- Architecture is highly modular built up with many Node servers - we made it very easy to keep components separate while sharing code between servers, and sharing code between client & server. All the servers talk to each other through redis - load balanced via nginx.
- Built and open-sourced a package: Universal Parcel Service for Asset Building UPS (https://github.com/joinspoton/ups) which ensures that we can deploy without ever having any down-time - takes advantage of staggered deployment & pre-compilation.
FINDMINE is an award-winning automation technology for retailers to scale the currently manual and tedious process of product curation (e.g., creating outfits, sets of furniture & decor, compatible electronics, ingredients for recipes) on ecommerce and in stores. Our first product "Completes the Look" around every product in fashion retailers' inventory. Customers include billion dollar brands, womenswear retailers, and high-fashion leaders like John Varvatos, for whom FINDMINE has increased conversion and AOV by up to 100%. Lending in the informal financial services sector is only effective when there is physical outreach right up to the borrower’s doorstep. This is because such borrowers live in remote geographies far away from banking infrastructure and are intimidated by the “threshold barrier” of banks.
