Design, Modelling, Production · My last startup, an eponymously titled fine jewellery brand created a one off collection of high art jewellery. Our… · More goal was to create the most extraordinary jewels in the world. Each piece was made from the finest materials has to offer, and designed to be intricate and perfect to the smallest detail.
No amount of difficult or effort was too great. One piece, which required diamonds and rubies which would glow under UV light meant we had to spend a week inside a pitch black safe sorting through thousands of carats of diamonds for the perfect pieces. Each piece took on average 5000 man hours to create.
Each pieces was presented in a bespoke glass bell jar made by a famous glass artist, and each jar was housed in a bespoke macassar ebony cabinet which was handmade in London.
The final flourish was that each piece came with a rose gold and diamond key in the shape of a scorpion. The key served both to lock and unlock the cabinet and as a pendant and sign that the wearer was the owner of a piece from the Danger collection.
Having done a degree in English I am a self taught designer, having worked my way to critical acclaim in the jewellery world.
I raised funding for and created a collection of high jewellery called 'Danger' - eight one off pieces of extraordinary jewelled fine art based on a theme of dangerous animals representing metaphysical peril. I have been described as a 21st century Peter Carl Faberge.
I also designed Damien Hirst's $100m diamond skull, For the Love of God.
