We’re leading this effort through our flagship movement, the HackTrain by running fast paced technology trials, providing management consultancy services and delivering hackathons. The HackTrain has become well recognised for being an incredibly powerful medium for solving the industry's biggest challenges improving operational efficiency and customer experience. The movement is supported by the Department for Transport, government ministers and the UK’s biggest train operating companies. Once we perfect our processes for innovation we will expand to other industries.

You will be at the heart of a truly unique movement that will have a massive impact within the UK economy. Here are some examples of what you will be doing:
Developing new solutions (web/mobile) in collaboration with our clients and technology partners;
Creating technical specifications for new potential prototypes that our clients may wish to have built;
Setting up and leading small groups of engineering teams (both full-time staff and contractors) to rapidly build and test prototypes with our clients;
Helping the Operations Team recruit and interview potential new technical staff/contractors;
Providing technical insight and recommendations to our clients;
Skills and experience desired:
You have the ability to work autonomously in a rapidly changing environment;
You solve problems intuitively, without the need for much guidance. You are a proactive individual with leadership experience;
You have a good ability to build and maintain relationships with clients;
You are able to manage multiple projects concurrently;
Some experience with a front-end framework such as Angular, Backbone, Knockout, etc;
Basic knowledge of backend development skills (Python, Java, .Net);
Have experience either setting up or managing engineering teams;
Bachelor’s degree or higher;
3+ years work experience;
Tangible projects they can show, that display their UX and technical ability;
Experience building a project throughout planning, design, launch and maintenance;
Experience in a startup, consultancy or technology context;
Good attention to detail; we want someone who enjoys making things great!
Experience analysing large quantities of data (using R, MATLAB, etc);
