Digital calendars fail often as different platforms and IT policies result in the inability of sharing availabilities outside one's domain. Thus creating events becomes very painful and time consuming.
Foogi's vision is to revolutionise the way availabilities are shared and calendar events are created.
The proliferation of BYOD and personal smartphones with the ability to sync all calendar technologies with them, combined with new calendar APIs, silent and two way notifications creates an incredible opportunity.
Foogi is an app that instantly shows you the availabilities of anybody from any company so you can schedule a meeting in seconds.
The next feature will allow you to organise meetings in seconds even if the other person does not have the app installed.
Another feature will allow the creation of groups for project managers and executive assistants to quickly schedule meetings.
All features have been selected by understanding customer's problems.

Why we're doing this
As a business analyst who's life revolved around meetings I found It very easy to find calendar availabilities inside my company but a nightmare finding when everybody was free when I wanted to meet with people outside of my company. I tried all the solutions (competition) but they all sucked.
I have run linkedin ad experiments and conducted customer interviews to find the right customer segments and truly understand their problems. 500 characters is not enough to discuss all the insights.
Most impressive accomplishment
During Uni days, I worked in a call centre where the callers were given pieces of papers for call lists. The callers had to manage their work using pen and paper. I analysed the software that made the calls, and found a hack to automate calls. So I pitched a paperless digital solution to the owner, won a contract, and successfully built and implemented the solution. Not only did the software remove many of the pain points of the callers but also generated valuable reports for the business.
I've been the lead designer in charge of the information design and animation for graphics on nationally aired news and sports programs. During my uni days I worked part time in retail which saw me move from a casual sales employee to one of the top sales earners and onto shift manager. As a shift manager I was responsible for leading the sales teams and quickly learned the business so I could implement better systems to make the team more productive.
