Fitboo is a search engine, fully integrated with the back-end booking across thousands of fitness providers, where you can book fitness group classes in gyms based on multiple locations at your convenience. Gym membership is a great option for people who can attend on a regular basis, but not everyone falls into that category.
fitboo is a free tool for gym owners seeking to market their businesses, attract new customers and fill empty seats.
Fitboo.com is built with PHP 5.3 + Zend Framework 1.11.11 mainly.
It uses Memcached as a cache system and PostgreSql 9.1 as database system.
The backend system works with Python 2.7 and Django 1.4.
It's built with HTML5, CSS3 and Jquery as well.
The webserver is Nginx for production and Apache 2.x for development.

Who we are
Juan Carlos and Miguel have been doing business together for the last 7 years. They own a Gym Club. Thanks to @Mola.com (Spanish Incubator that supported @fitboo), they met Xisco and found an strong relationship (he's a great guy!). Miguel and Xisco had worked at the same company (Online Travel Agency) We apply the knowledge of selling hotel rooms to sell empty seats of gym group classes
Juan Carlos is the sports guy.
Miguel is the strategical mind and sales/mk person.
Xisco is the techie guy.

person to do it.
The strategy is to have a vast product from MindBody (the US largest Health&Fitness management software) and some other API from other gym management software suppliers (like ABC, Motionsoft, Jonas Fitness and others) and use our backend for those gyms that don't use any of them . Those API integrations allow our users to find, book and review over 1M fitness classes across the US in a fully integrated with the back-end booking, across more than 25K of gym clubs.
There are more than 130.000 gym clubs worldwide. It's a $71B+ industry. With 120.000.000 customers.
Market Validation: there are 29.000 gyms in the US. 58M of customers, 15% are non-member.
Membership price it's the main reason for not joining a gym club (55%)
@fitboo has been incubated by @Mola.com. Enrique Dubois (MOLA co-founder) founded 10+ companies, sold 4 (Premium, Bingos, MediaGambling, SXNetworks).
Our B.Model: 20%-30% commission on each transaction. Has been validated with customers and sales (growing by 35%).
