Co-founder of a medical device company, Soteria Transporters LLC. Our product is aimed to prevent infant brain damage during transportation. Prototyping our product has required numerous hours of 3D design work, rapid prototyping, and configuration of electronic systems. I have conducted numerous interviews with NICU doctors, nurses, and EMT staff in order to incorporate their feedback into our design to ensure that their priorities are met in our product. So far we have found success in our venture, having won the first round and second round of the University of Virginia Entrepreneur Cup, and are competing in the final round for funding. Additionally, we were accepted early into the University of Virginia’s incubator program, the i.Lab, where we will be spending this summer.
