Apparel may be the solution for improved athletic performance. Technology company Cocona has announced results from a blind university study that showed wearing its 37.5 product (patented active particles found at the fiber level that release moisture vapor) may improve thermoregulation during workouts, as well as impact an athlete's performance at their lactate threshold, or the point in which the athlete reaches 85 percent of their maximum heart rate.
Very hard exercise impacts following easier exercise

Changes in exercise intensity occur during cycling (and other sports) and understanding the implications is important to estimating energy expenditure and performance.
We found that the energetic cost of submaximal cycling increased immediately after performing prior supramaximal cycling in endurance-trained cyclists and recreationally active non-cyclists. For both groups, energy cost returned to baseline values within 20 minutes. Heart rate and core body temperature remained elevated up to approximately one hour following supramaximal cycling. This has important implications to exercise prescription and performance. Lastly, our results suggest that muscle efficiency was unaltered and that the greater energetic cost is associated with metabolic demands that do not increase with increasing workrate.

My 2nd Ironman was just one month after my comprehensive exams for graduate school (considered one of the most challenging steps). I didn't plan on these events happening in the same summer! But they did. This required goal setting, time management, focus, and discipline. I passed the exams and finished the race!
I'm looking to combine my experiences, passions, strengths, & skills into a dynamic job that may require working in different areas from research & design to management to customer service. Product management is career shift I'm pursuing.
