Acquisitions / Growth Lead - Contractor

GIST is a new Silicon-Valley based social commerce company — think of us if Depop and Pinterest had a baby, while hosting Pinduoduo as an exchange student.

We launched our alpha #1 on ProductHunt, were 5x oversubscribed on Angel List, and are now live in private beta on 25 college campuses. You will be getting in on the ground floor to build a massively impactful company and work with a world-class team: We’re a group of experienced technology leaders and are backed by giants of the e-commerce and technology industry (Apple, Tesla, Notion, Levi’s, Google, Triller, 88Rising, and Venmo).

The Role
Seeks digital market with experience distributing content at global scale. Knowledge of all earned and paid media techniques. We ❤️ Reforge alumni and related programs. E-Commerce and Media background a plus.

Your role combines strategy and execution — we want you to be part of the creative process of making our community scale, design user-validated playbooks, and operationalize your thinking into numbers on the board.

What You'll Do:

• Product-driven growth: prototype, test, and implement tools that will drive growth from our existing community, collaborating with our product and community teams at every stage.
• Earned growth: own cultural leadership partnerships (influencers, brand collaborations, PR)
• Paid growth: operational knowledge of established and emerging paid channels.

Who You Are:

• Have a demonstrated obsession in this area — you've executed growth programs before school, during school, at your day job, at your after work side project, and in your dreams ;)
• Deeply data-informed — you know what matters most, how to measure, and when to turn insights into growth programs and product features
• Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with others.
