Our Q-Cigarettes App is the first mobile platform to deliver combination therapy, the most efficacious, evidence-based intervention to quit smoking. It combines counseling and nicotine replacement for tobacco dependence, and it's designed to increase user engagement by modeling itself after popular messaging and social media apps. Our app creates a social network of friends and family and equips them with a counselor’s full arsenal. A Supporter can send materials from the National Cancer Institute in response to a request by their Quitter, send their own text, picture, or video messages, and/or gift nicotine replacement products to escalate care even further.
Co-Founding Q-Cigarettes, Inc. is the thing I'm most proud of -- a means to bring smoking cessation to the mobile health age. In America, at least, a smart, intuitive mobile app for smoking cessation may have its largest impact on minority groups with the highest prevalence of smoking.
