Dr. Max Chartrand earned his Ph.D. in Behavioral Medicine from Northcentral University, where he earlier received his MS in Health Psychology with a minor in Child Development and Special Education. He also achieved the academic rank of Associate Professor and doctoral research committee Chair.
Prior to his return to academia, Dr. Max Chartrand held positions with various hearing healthcare firms, including Manager in Referral Services at Cochlear Americas; Director of Special Projects and Editor-in-Chief of Applied Principles at Starkey Laboratories, Inc.; and President and CEO of Unimax Hearing Instruments, Inc. Now he works as a Behavioral Medicine Consultant at SIRCLE Pain Clinic and as the Director of Research at DigiCare Behavioral Research.
A lauded writer and speaker, he presents at conferences across the world to address health-related topics such as education, motivation, mental health, and impaired hearing. His published works encompass textbooks, health manuals, and numerous articles in professional journals and across the Internet, as well as his recent project, Video Otoscopy: A Quantitative View.
