This is not the typical Booz Allen position. I started with the Media Lab, a section of Booz Allen focused on enhancing its image through building mobile apps. I then moved...more on to the Cyber Solutions team. Focus here was building small prototypes using the latest software development techniques. A partner and I introduced the team to the JS Meteor framework and from there never used anything else.
I began as a frontend developer working on a project for the Environmental Protection Agency. I decided to change the UI after some time, I found it extremely cumbersome and...more unintuitive. After showing a small prototype of what it would look like to my coworkers management allowed me to recreate the whole UI from scratch.
I also created a mobile web version of the web platform. I was given a month initially to show what I can build. I successfully built the full app in a few months
Software Development Intern
2010 - 2011 (about 1 year)
My greatest achievement for the year I spent at CSC was that I introduced my team to Selenium, an automated end-to-end testing framework. They found it extremely helpful and...more continued using it to test their platform after I left
I love to come up with new ideas and attempting to tackle them. I hate bad design with a passion. I'm currently working with a group of extremely smart individuals building small prototypes we think others might find helpful.
I made a website to help students schedule their classes first semester of college and it was endorsed by the Dean of our department. Never got to launch it though :/. Other than that, I created a small Android game, helped a friend launch her dream Start-up from scratch. Created the whole platform using Meteor in about 2 weeks. And I'm currently in the process of launching my first Android app in a few weeks.
