Do you want to build a new startup with social impact?

Zinc's nine-month full-time company builder programme brings together 50 talented individuals, domain expertise, insights from social science and a leading network of experts to create new purpose-driven companies.

The Zinc programme differs from other startup incubators/accelerators in that it harnesses the power of a mission to mobilise the best talent, ideas and capital. This year's mission is to rethink ageing and improve the quality of later life - zinc.vc/mission-3

Zinc’s proven programme provides individuals (who we call Founders) with: the opportunity to find a Co-Founder(s); a structured programme that guides Founders through creating the right product, team and business; intensive help with the science, technology, domain expertise, access to users and commercial acumen needed to succeed; a stipend to cover living costs; an attractive co-working space; credits for technical and business services; and the support of a brilliant and diverse cohort of other Founders.

The programme is structured in three phases:

1. Match - where founders choose the focus for their new business, their co-founder and their outline business idea
2. Hatch - where the new teams design, test and improve their new products and services
3. Accelerate - where the new businesses secure the resources they need to achieve their ambitions

The pace at which Founders move through these three phases varies, but on average each phase takes 3 months.

We look for creators and innovators from a variety of backgrounds, including clinicians, engineers, financial services experts, creative designers, researchers, serial entrepreneurs, product managers, NGO innovators, life scientists, care managers, and others.

All the Founders will share a passion to co-found commercial businesses from scratch within one or more of the 10 opportunity areas in Mission 3.

Founders must demonstrate:
- Ambition and Drive
- Commitment to social impact
- Commercial mindset
- Fresh insight
- Creativity

- Power to mobilise supporters
- Ability to get things done
