Engineering Manager

Winnie is a fast-growing marketplace for child care built on powerful data systems and backed by a trusted community of parents and providers.

We are looking for an Engineering Manager with a solid understanding of product development to help us build and support our child care platform. You will be responsible for managing a team of 3-5 engineers, and your time will be split between management and development. You will provide technical leadership and enable engineers to do their best work. The ideal candidate is hands-on and interested in coaching and growing a diverse and inclusive team.

This position is based in San Francisco working out of our sunny Mission District headquarters.

* You have experience leading an engineering team (or extensive experience mentoring others)
* You provide continuous feedback and address issues as they come up
* You recognize individual strengths and assist your team in personal growth
* You have experience designing and building new systems and leading projects
* You have deep technical experience in backend product development
* You still enjoy writing code and staying up-to-date with technology
* You understand how to communicate and optimize work with remote team members
* You strive to improve processes and create documentation to make things better for everyone
* You provide mentorship to teammates as well as others in the community
