The Opportunity

Wikileaf is seeking a well-rounded Full Stack Developer to join our Development Team. The Full Stack Developer will have a lead role in building our product offerings and developing new features. The role requires someone who can provide meaningful guidance and collaboration to a close group of developers and designers, while directly contributing to the usability and functionality of our platform. The position gives creators an opportunity to test their skills sets, mentor enthusiastic juniors, and build innovative solutions.


Assist with the assignment of features and tasks to team members during projects and maintenance
Mentor junior developers by consulting on software design, development best practices, and technological approaches
Perform code reviews and give feedback on implementations by the development team to ensure the quality of Wikileaf’s software
Optimize front-end and back-end code to ensure a consistent and fast experience for our users
Implement responsive cross-browser user experiences
Research and adopt new technologies to improve quality of services, reduce operating cost or increase customer value


5+ years of experience in a senior development role (preferably in a startup environment)
Expert level knowledge of at least two programming languages
Knowledge of Javascript and/or Typescript, the node.js ecosystem, HTML5, SASS and other modern web application development related technologies.
Knowledge of Python 3.6 or newer
Passion for mentoring and developing junior team members
Ability to communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
Familiar with modern application deployment practices, such as continuous integration and deployment, configuration management etc
A curious nature, and willingness to think out of the box
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Familiarity with Agile development tools and processes such as JIRA and GitLab/Github/Bitbucket, Sentry, etc..

Containerization of apps with Docker
Deployment of applications with Kubernetes
Experience with Angular 6
Experience with Django 1.11 or higher
Familiarity with SEO needs
Have worked with a geographically distributed team
