Project Manager

Summary

Wifi Soft is looking for hands-on Project Manager to join the existing team in solving complex problems and leading an ambitious engineering team to create a world-class product. Engineers at Wifi Soft work in small teams with minimal process and engineer software that creates big value.

Key Responsibilities
Preparing customized Linux distribution software for Wifi Soft appliances.
Integration of existing software on newer hardware boards evaluated for appliances.
Lead and develop architectural/feature changes with team
Research and implement innovations in Wireless technologies
Maintain product source code quality
Comply with process for engineering
Ability to provide technical leadership to the team of engineers
Organizing and managing all phases of the project to ensure on time completion, manage development process.
Coordinating with team members, assigning and tracking individual responsibilities.
Lead a team of 8 – 10 engineers
Interface with QA, support and product engineering teams
Work with customers to troubleshoot and solve real world issues
Ability to carry on research/experimental projects

Technical Skills

Comfortable working in Linux environment, firewall, security without assistance
Good networking troubleshooting and software debugging skills.
Exposure to basics about cross-compilation
Knowledge of shell scripting in Bash, Perl, other languages
C, C++, Java, Database (MySQL/Oracle/Postgre), PHP, Perl, Frameworks, HTML/CSS/Javascript
Good at data structures and algorithms
Experience with networking protocols like IP, MPLS, Carrier Ethernet
Experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems
Hands-on experience in writing device drivers, BIOS firmware would be a plus
Prototyping/proof-of-concept expertise
Product build and release experience
Experience with LAN/WAN/WLAN/Mesh technologies
Worked with RADIUS Diameter, AAA, QoS, DHCP, Network Proxy
Good understanding of L2 Switching and L3 Routing

Academics
